Is stacked stone pool/spa hard to maintain?
Our pool guy is trying to talk us out of getting stacked stone around spa and planters with tiered waterfalls, citing it “being very hard to maintain and suceptible to mold because of the cracks”. Has anyone had experience with that?
Your pool guy is right. It will cost you more in chemicals to combat the organics around the spa, not to mention the extra labor incurred to keep it clean. If you’re willing to put up with a larger bill, then by all means, go ahead. He can still deal with it, just not as cheaply as before.
